1990 was a tragic year for dad, and he lost his mother and wife within a couple of weeks of each other at the end of the year. I don’t think dad ever got over losing his wife so early and remained a widower for the rest of his days. Suddenly being on his own, dad was forced to learn how to cook and clean, this not being the traditional role that he was accustomed to. It wasn’t long before he would be telling me how to cook!! Dad finally retired at 65
